Where is Happiness?

Do you move through life feeling everyday is the same? Like some repeated pattern that goes on and on? For some people, there's nothing new to do under the sun, and nowhere to go. Everything is just boring, boring, boring. They work so hard to earn enough money to play, but yet their playtime passes so fast. Suffer five days, enjoy two days. Sometimes, to break the monotony, they seek thrill through intoxicants (alcohol, smoke), sex, and even drugs. For these temporary pleasures, it feels exciting while it's happening, but once it's over, the same pattern of meaninglessness sets in, and they're left thinking, "When can I get the next high?"

Perhaps you will recognize this scene... Two old men are sitting on a bus. As the bus passes by the red-light district, one old man says to the other, "Hey... aren't you going to see the chickens (prostitute) today?" The other man raises an eyebrow... a spark in his wrinkled eyes, "Yes, yes, I will be going this afternoon!" The first old man smirks, and says, "You didn't even bring your medicine, how can you DO IT?"

For some people, their lust is so strong, that they borrow money from family and friends, just to visit brothels. You will see this pattern in addicts. Drug addicts, sex addicts, alcohol addicts. They're always looking for the greater thrill and the next high, and that's what sets their life on a downward spiral. They waste their time, energy, and money, instead of using it to build success.

For life to have zest, everyone needs that natural feeling of drive, anticipation, and excitement. When one does not know how to get it naturally, one may resort to vices to stimulate that sense of being fully alive, desperately trying to bring some meaning into life. But you see, happiness is within you... If you can’t satisfy your wants, then the other way to happiness is to release them. Let go of that which you must have. Shakyamuni Buddha said that, "All desire leads to suffering..." Suffering because you crave what you do not have. And let me ask you this: Is this yearning self-created? Or something imposed on you by the outside world? Perhaps it's the outside world's fault because other people keep flaunting their luxuries and exotic experiences. But surely, we create this yearning within ourselves. It is within our power to control it, or release it altogether.

Motivate each other

Motivation in life is necessary as without it life is meaningless. Motivation helps to move forward in life and achieve what one wants. If there is no motivation the chances of success slow down. Here the success does not merely mean something very big but success at all levels.

For a healthy and prosperous relation learn to motivate each other. There are so many things in life that al of us want do but unfortunately are unable to do so due to many reasons. As couples you know about the dreams and desires of your partners. You could always encourage each other to fulfill that dream. You or your partner’s dream could be any from opening a cafeteria or writing a screenplay or participating in some dance or sports competition or buy a vintage car. Whatever the dream just motivate your partner to achieve it. If your partner wants to open a cafeteria both of you can work together on it.

Look for the place where you could open it and if the place is already set in your mind and is available then work on the related area under discussion such as the interior, the staff arrangement and so on. Motivating your partner and working together is great fun and help the partners to be close to each other. Moreover if you are the motivating factor then your partner holds you with more respect. On achieving your goal the two of you could take a romantic weekend vacation as a reward and enjoy the company of each other that is stress free with no worries and only happiness. There is an added enjoyment of achievement of your goal and being together.

Attract Abundance: Your Well-being and Happiness will Attract Abundance

Well-being is one of the most confusing concepts in our society today. Many people do not understand what it is or how to achieve it. And most people honestly do not feel that their well-being can affect their ability to prosper or attract abundance in their lives.

Well-being is always first when we choose to live in abundance. Our level of wellness determines how much of our human potential we can use to accomplish goals and our life’s purpose. Although exercise and eating the best foods for the body are crucial to our health and our vitality, the mental aspects of our being is just as crucial.

The man or woman who thinks well also lives well and this is well-being. This thinking necessary to achieve well-being requires that we study and open ourselves to truth, meaning, and purpose. Through this study, we are able to understand the world and our lives in it in ways which go beyond what we can see with our eyes. And in this study we will find the science of well-being.

So, how is well-being and happiness related to abundance? Well-being is wondrous state of being. In fact, a better way to see it is that well-being is about “being happiness.” It is not something that we turn on and off depending on how our day goes. It is a continuous state of being. Nothing can affect it but our thoughts and expectations. This continuous state of vibrancy attracts wealth, success, optimal health, love, and empowering relationships—and this is abundance.

How to Make Your Own Happiness

Happiness comes to a person when it is caused by something, such as the person achieving a much-desired goal. Happiness also comes when the person recognizes something of value - seeing children playing together joyfully makes the parent happy. Happiness can be caused by expectation of future good fortune as the happiness of a couple in a romantic relationhship. Happiness has causes. It can be had by anyone who is able to bring about and recognize a suitable cause. Below are 6 ways to bring a little more happiness into your life.

Be aware of resources that can be used to achieve your goals -

Everyone has a large number of valuable skills that are not often appreciated: the ability to communicate and interact with people, the ability to set priorities when scheduling tasks, and many other such abilities. Your abilities are valuable. They can help you get what you want. So give them the consideration they deserve. Be proud of all of your abilities and skills. Take some delight in using them and they will stay with you and likely develop further.

Feel good when you succeed -

Savor the successes that your abilities and your resources allow you to achieve. The more you enjoy your successes, the more you will strive for and achieve success. It's a self-perpetuating circle that brings rewards and happiness.

Ask for what you want -

It's a way to make your life better. If it doesn't take away from someone else's happiness, then there's no reason to not ask. It is a tool you should feel good about using because it can produce good results. For example, you can ask someone to baby sit your kids while you get an r 'n' r break. You can ask advice on how to do something. You can ask at a university or state employment center for help in choosing a career.

Self Improvement and the Power of ‘Why’

The first step to self Improvement and achieving any goal is to decide exactly what we want. If we are not totally clear about what we actually want it is impossible to make plans and take action to achieve it.

It is also vital to know WHY we want whatever it is we want, because it’s our ‘why’s’ that determine the strength of our desire, and our ultimate success in achieving our goals.

For example, say you have decided you want to save or raise $10,000 in the next six months for no reason in particular, expect perhaps that you are lousy at saving and you want to develop that ability.

Compare that to the ‘why’ of parents who needs $10,000 within six months for a life saving operation for their only child? Which of these two ‘why’s’ is most likely to evoke the overwhelming desire and iron-willed determination to take the actions necessary for success?

This is not to suggest that goals will only be achieved if they are for altruistic reasons. We can achieve any honest goal we set for ourselves if we give ourselves a big enough reason to achieve it.

Strategies to Streamline Your Path to Success

Success is a journey, and journeys can be long, tedious, and filled with frustration, or they can be fun-filled, exciting, and ultimately rewarding by the time the journey has ended. The choice is really up to you. It makes good sense to trust the process, have faith and belief in yourself, and make a commitment to align yourself with others who have travelled the road you are currently on, and who have done so with integrity, with honour, and yes, with success.

What are good strategies to assist you in streamlining this process and making your journey an enjoyable one? First, you should define the word ‘success’, and what it means to you. To me, the word success is an indicator that I have been able to bring balance and harmony in my lifestyle, both personally and professionally. It means that I have been able to forge meaningful relationships, nourish my spirit, enrich my health, and be financially secure.

To streamline your path to success, begin by determining what you really want to achieve in life. What will make you happy? Making clear, well-defined goals in all areas of your life can act as the catalyst you need to put you on the right path to success. They need not be complicated goals or elaborate, or even long-term, but they need to be a reflection of who you are and the purpose you see yourself contributing to your corner of the world.

How to Achieve Success in School

Although academic excellence is not a requirement of overall happiness and quality of life of a person, being successful in school, regardless of whether one is successful in academics or sports can be seen to be a kind of foundation for a person’s future. When one is successful in school, he or she will have more direction and focus in life. Successful students know what they want to do with their lives because through their successes in school, they find their true potential. Successful students are clearer about their objectives, talents, interests and capabilities.

Many people play different roles in the life of a child, therefore, they will all contribute, in their own way, to the success of the individual. For one, the parents. Parents who are patient, loving, caring, supportive and understanding will provide their children the basis of understanding that helps them achieve success in school. As we all know, it depends on the personal characteristics and personality of the individual. If the child is born naturally driven, it will not take much from the parents to help their child succeed in school. The teachers and coaches all have a large functional role to play in helping students achieve success too. Their consistent guidance and attention to individual students will pay off if the students become receptive of their lectures and advice. For an individual to succeed in school, they must know who to mix around with. First, we have the parents and guardians; then, we have the teachers and coaches; third, we have the student; and finally, the friends that the student surrounds himself or herself with during school. Success will only be available to those who are open to success.

7 Steps of Giving to Others Will “Change the Course of Your Life”

Your success plan begins with your attitude and mindset. What are your intentions? What kind of person do you want to be? How do you want to treat other people? Do you believe it is necessary to give to others in order to get what you want?
Well, as entrepreneurs our “success plan” in a home-based business for “success online” must always be done in a spirit of service and contribution. There is a universal truth which is the path that to get what you want—you must give. When you give, you get. What you sow, you shall reap. If this is true, then what is it we must give?

Here are seven things you must give to others if you want to achieve success by “changing the course of your life”:

1. Give Others Your Honesty.

The world we live in has a few simple rules that we must follow to be successful in being able to attain your goals and keep your character at the same time. It begins with being honest in all your affairs with others. Honesty is the single most important factor having a direct bearing on the final success of an individual with a home-based business and all your relationships for "success online". In all things and at all times, give others your honesty.

2. Give Others Your Respect.

Most of the time we give people respect based on what they have done or what they have accomplished. We gauge whether or not they are "worthy" of it based on what we know about what they have achieved, who they know, or are related to. However, as a business success strategy, we should respect people for simply being people. What would happen in our world, in our company, and in our families if we started with respect for everyone else rather than making them earn it? I think we would see that most people would live up to the respect that we give them!

3. Give Others Your Vulnerability.
We are taught to be strong and yes; we should be strong. However, we have also embraced something that keeps us from having the kind of life that we long for. It keeps us from experiencing the kind of relationships that would bring deep meaning to us and it is the idea of vulnerability.

Allowing yourself to be vulnerable to others is attractive to others and draws them to you. People like to see others be “real” and they in turn will open up to you and allow themselves to be “real”. The truth is we are all been hurt in life and we all have secrets within us. However, when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable—it makes others like us better and therefore; it creates better relationships and it is also a healthy business success strategy that will always work in your favor.

4. Give Others Your Care.

Take the time to show people you care. Listen to them, empathize with them, and love them. I have found that when we show people we care, our business succeeds and it will “change the course of our lives”. Also, by showing others we care it not only blesses them but, it also blesses us. This is a guarantee in our “success plan” to gain financial freedom.

Success Breeds Confidence

Successful people are confident people. Some may think that successful people are confident because they are successful. The truth is you will gain more confidence with success, but your confidence does not start once you achieve success.

Some people think that having confidence means posturing, or putting on airs or just plain faking it. But there is a simple secret to having confidence.

The secret to being confident is to have certainty. When you are certain about your ideas, your products, your services or anything for that matter, you will naturally have confidence. Your certainty and confidence will attract more business to you as people start to notice and admire you.

Living your passion and purpose in life are essential aspects of being confident but brings with it the added characteristic known as charisma.

If you are dissatisfied with what you do and do not know what your purpose or passion in life is, it will be hard to display confidence and charisma. You will probably radiant frustration and dissatisfaction instead.

When you find passion in what you do, and live a purposeful life, that energy emanates from you giving you charisma and confidence. You will start to captivate people with your enthusiasm.

Affirmations for success when done consistently and properly are extremely effective in reprogramming and eliminating negative thinking. To win the game of life, one must not only work hard and smart but understand and master over the cogs and wheels behind the inner game of success.

This overlook or perhaps lack of understanding of the inner game to success has caused many precious time and hinder their success in reaching their goals greatly. In short, if you truly want to succeed ,master the inner game of success.

Inner game self sabotage? Deep down within our subconscious mind, there are empowering and limiting beliefs governing our actions. Inner game self sabotage refers to those limiting beliefs. Unconsciously, limiting beliefs tend to drag our progress towards success through silly actions or thinking we might develop along the way. To manage this self destruction, it is obviously crucial to regularly and I mean everyday, repeating affirmations for success.

Don’t Hold Yourself Back From Success

Every human being wants to succeed – on the Conscious level.

But because you have Subconscious Why-Not-To's of Success hidden beneath the surface of your mind, it's like you are running a race with a giant rubber band around your waist going back to the start line. This causes what I call The Roller Coaster Effect: let's say one month, you make a lot of money. What invariably happens? That's when the fear sets in!

So you then do something that outwardly doesn't make any sense, but now that you know how your mind operates, makes perfect sense: you stop doing what works.

When you get to the top of the roller coaster, you feel the feeling referred to as "the fear of success." But a feeling is merely a result of something inside you – the way you perceive the situation. If you were to change your perception, you would change that feeling. And you would never experience the so-called "fear of success" ever again.

Positive Language Can Bring You Luck – Banish the Word IF

To be lucky, you have to use lucky language, and lucky language is positive language.

To have positive language, you have to think positively. You have to see, you have to believe in yourself—and then you have to reflect that belief in the words that you use.

Shut off all the media, the newspapers, and the television. Protect yourself from anything that promotes negativity in thought, in word, or in deed. Being positive is key.

People ask me, Mark, how did you prepare for “Chicken Soup for the Soul?”

We taped our success goals on the mirror at my house and posted them in Jack’s house, my office, and Jack’s office; and then we embellished our list. I had interviewed the 101 bestselling authors because I wanted to be prepared, and I was prepared. One of the authors was Dr. Scott Peck, who wrote The Road Less Traveled, which had been number one for 12 years and had made $40 million. He told us all these keys to being a successful writer. For example, you’ve got to do at least one interview every day for the rest of your life.

Seven Secrets to College Success

Congratulations. You have made the decision to pursue higher education and to meet your goal of obtaining a college degree. You are embarking on a journey that can take you places you may have only dreamed of. Being in college can be fun but it can also be challenging. In this article I have put together ten steps that can help you to be successful at your collegiate goals.

1.Be punctual: Being late for class is a sign of disrespect. It tells the instructor you don’t want to be in his class or that you don’t take the class seriously. You also miss important information when you are late. Do you like it when people are late for something you’ve planned? Of course not. The instructor has spent time preparing for the class and you should give the instructor the time you have scheduled for his class. Besides, you have spent money for the class so you should show up on time to get what you paid for. Being punctual also helps when it comes time for grading. Grading is subjective and you want to do everything you can to leave a positive impression in your instructor’s mind so he can remember you this way doing grading. Being late for class doesn’t make a positive impression. So if you are habitually late, why should he sweat over your grade? Take my word for it, show up on time.

2.Do the homework: It is a waste of your time and the instructor’s time if you just sit in class but never do the assignments. Not doing class assignments is a guaranteed way to fail. Instructors use assignments to determine your knowledge and your grade. Assignments also help you to learn more about your field of study. Instructors can also tell if you half-heartedly completed an assignment. And don’t wait until the last minute to do your assignment. If you start early you will have a better product than if you waited until the due date to start on it.

Manifest Your Desires - Improve Your Life

Is everyone in the world living the life that they want, the life that they dream of? The answer to that is no. We can look around and see that not everyone is happy with their life and circumstances. We can talk to our friends about hopes and dreams and what type of life we desire, but what are you actually doing to have that life? Do you know anyone that has their dream life? The answer is yes to that question, have you talked to them about how they got, or do you just think, Man they're really lucky. More important, why aren't you doing the right things to manifest your dreams and improve your life?

What Stops Us From Manifesting Our Desires?

Before I tell you what stops us, think about it for a minute. Why haven't you taken the necessary steps to get what you want? I will give you two reasons that really cover anything you can say as to why you aren't: those reasons are fear, non-belief. You are afraid to take the risk, it will cost you too much, figuratively speaking. You don't believe that you are entitled to that life you want and/or you don't believe that you can have the life you want.

Someone may try to tell me that their desires are unrealistic. They are unrealistic because you think they are unrealistic, and that falls to reason two - you don't believe it is possible. Why dream about a life different from the one you are living and wish that you could have all these different things if you don't really believe that you can have them? Because secretly, you know there has to be a way to get that life, achieve those dreams of yours and meet your desires.

The good news is, there is a way for you to have the life of your dreams. The even better news is that I am going to tell you how. Stop though, right now and understand this. What I am about to tell you requires you to change the way you think everyday, about most everything. Yes, I know I can hear you saying, Oh no problem, that's easy, if it was so easy then you would be doing it already. It is not easy and it takes conscious effort on your part. Really the only one you are not helping is yourself, so if you would like to change that, then from here on out I want you to be very self aware of what you are thinking from now on. There is no room in your thought process for anything negative anymore.

Steps Required to Manifest Desires

1. Stop your negative thinking. There is to be NO more, I can't, It won't, Not me and thoughts of that nature. This step right here will make the difference between having that dream life or not.
2. According to the Law of Attraction you bring to you what you put out there. So if you are thinking I am never going to be out of debt, what the universe is hearing is I want debt. The universe works in a positive mode, it doesn't hear the don't part, only want and then it tries to deliver it to you.
3. Know what you want. Sit down right now and make a list of exactly what you want. Put that list somewhere where you can see it everyday. And say, I will have the 2007 BMW, or whatever you want it to be.
4. Be thankful for what you have already. Seriously, if you don't appreciate what you have, though it may not be ideal, why should you get something new? Be thankful for everything around you.
5. Know that everything on that list of yours is coming to you. And say that to yourself with conviction daily, repeatedly.

How To Make Your Own Luck

How many times have you shaken your head in amazement at the 'luck' of others? From
the multiple jackpot winner to the treasure found for one dollar at a yard sale to the slight
delay that allowed one to narrowly miss an accident, we have all heard the stories, and
maybe even witnessed some. Of course, there are also those who just seem to effortlessly
succeed in everything they do, and so they are labeled as lucky. But what makes a lucky
person so fortunate? The answer is simple: they do.

Lets face it some things simply cannot be explained; whether it is called fate,
coincidence, or sheer, dumb luck, there are those among us who seem to always be in the
right place at the right time. More often than not, though, they are there not because of
fate, but because of their determination and mindset. That does not mean that you can
will yourself to win the lottery; rather, it means that you cannot win the lottery if you do
not play. You see, you can make your own luck. Consider the success stories printed in
the papers and magazines; inspirational stories of men and women who have overcome
serious obstacles to become extremely successful. Lady Luck did not pick these people
out; they picked her.
